Hello Janice: Oh yes, the accents evade us too...one day!!
You certainly saved the best part for last, but it is a miracle how all manner of flowers spring up at this time of year. The Orchid is particularly attractive!
Thanks Jane and Lance, what is frustrating is that someone did teach me how to get the accents....and I cant remember. I love how the awful rain and then the sun affected my garden....Mark and I intend to enjoy many glasses of wine, just watching it.
Dramatic sky Janice, and a nice glass of wine to finish. Do you have a Mac? if so you can find accents by going into Edit at the top of the screen, then Special Characters - you can then get everything you could possibly want - if you do not have an Apple then this is of no use to you!
I'm surprised that you have the same wild flowers in your garden in France as I have in my garden in S W Turkey. I think you've access to a better wine surply than us though.
Hello BtoB, as this is my first proper spring in France I am surprised on a daily basis by the gorgeous stuff that keeps appearing in my garden....but the wine supply is predictable, and Mark knows what I like. J.
Who needs words with pictures like that, Janice....:-) I know how to do accents using key combinations but unfortunately it only works in Word and not in email or online reply boxes. Sigh....
Thanks Perpetua, I am sure I will find a way of putting accents in, someone did show me once.....but I've lost the scrap of paper with the instructions....oh well, another sigh....J.
Out of the wet comes the bloom - lovely photos! Not sure rose works as well this side of the channel - however feel obliged to give it a go. Any suggestions oh connoisseur. Celia x
No suggestions Celia....cold and pink seems to work for me though. There is a local sparkling wine, from Limoux, called Blanquette ( comes in pink and white ) they claim, as I'm sure other places do, to have invented the champagne method before Champagne.... that usually goes down well....but I suspect solid blue skies and heat are required to appreciate any of it at its best....
I guess we have to suffer the rain just so we can appreciate all these wild flowers. Beautiful photos Janice. And I'm with BtoB on the wine...much better where you are than it is here!
Yes Ayak, it made me stop complaining about the damp spring weather, as I recognised how much good all the rain had done for the flowers, just waiting to appear....and I am enjoying the wine too. J.
I can honestly say, as the weather has improved....sitting, just looking at, and being in my garden....with a glass of wine, has been a real pleasure. J
How brilliant your flowers are after the rain, Janice. I see so many that are similar to what we have blooming here now. Cousins, I suppose. Oh, those poppies! How stunning they are in your picture. Enjoy.
Thanks Penny, the garden really did look beautiful after the rain, aand I am close to the point of forgiving the snow and frost for the damage to the mimosa and our gorgeous palm. I'm still holding out a little hope for the palm. Hope all is well with you. J.

Everyone we speak to, who enjoys the local wine says the rose is wonderful....all my experiences so far indicate that this is true. J.
