Quick update : Team Pattison are here.

It is quite tempting to say that I’m too busy to blog…..but in a way it’s nice to just find the time to post a quick update on what has been happening here in Caunes, or in our part of it, during the last few days.

Just the start of the lego marathon

“Team Pattison” arrived on Tuesday.Matthew, Sarah-Jane and 3 amazing little boys, arrived, all eager to have a good time.

They’ve been here a couple of days. Most of the toys have been played with, the pool has been in constant use, a huge number of stunningly good lego models have been made, and many many photos have been taken.

Other bits of life continue….our French lessons are really enjoyable. I think we’re making progress, and the cafĂ© des langues is now in its 5th or 6th week. All have been different, some weeks with only 5 or 6  trusty stalwarts, and other weeks with new participants who have found out about us by word of mouth, or from the flyers we have put in the Mairie, the Tourist office and the bar.

So…just a very brief post….. loving having les petits enfants with us….as if you needed me to report that !

  2. I have been wondering why you often spend winter months in Hebden Bridge and summer in Caunes - but now I get it!
And I think I'd do the same.

    1. It is completely logical , honestly. They can visit in the summer. We want to spend Christmas with them in England...and anyway, quite often its as cold here in the south of France as it is in England during parts of the winter. I've experienced a couple of very cold Februarys here in Caunes.

  3. Your post made me look forward even more to being in Spain later this year to meet up with the family again - including youngsters we have not yet met except in photographs....and wondering who will be brave enough to bring Herve cheese down on the ;plane.
Local culture is one thing - having the family quite another!

  8. Hurrah for the Lego Marathon, Janice. Perhaps we should have an international competition between Grandies! What a group of little cuties you have, and how they must love the three bears house which you so lovingly prepared for their visits. Happy Days :)) xxx
