This is just a very quick post, to say how much I am looking forward to catching up on all my favourite blogs that have been published while I have been away...and to warn you that a few posts from me, probably some from Annie, and at least one joint blog will be appearing soon !
Those of you that know Annie and I will have imagined that we would have a good time, getting together at last. I think it is fair to say that we did.....and our adventures, short though they were, will be documented here.
Let me just say that weeping virgins, Sadler teapots, Oklahoma ( or was it Oh Calcutta) Romans, wisigoths, moors ,crusaders, Spanish hairdressers and fig jam will feature, amongst other fairly random things.

Delighted you're back safely in Caunes. Goodness, doesn't it look windy and chilly and wet in the photo? I just have a warm feeling when I think about our weekend...Big random hugs, Axxx
ReplyDeleteWe had such a lovely time. I knew you would be the perfect tour guide, even if you have an even more vague grasp of dates than I do. ( I was always a conceptual historian....if a student wanted the exact date of some important event I would tell them to ask the history teacher next door ( a Mr Taylor as it happens)...and that I was more interested in why something happened, and what were its consequences.
DeleteLooking forward to our joint blog. Jxxxx
Being born a Sadler, I can't wait for the teapots.
ReplyDeleteAnnie's is turquoise and gold...it's gorgeous.
DeleteYou both look so happy - glad you are back safely after your sojourn with Annie.
ReplyDeleteIt was a short, but very sweet trip.
DeleteYou clearly both had a great time....lovely xxx
ReplyDeleteWe did, but 3 nights is not long at all....we'll have to make it longer next time.
DeleteI can't wait to read al about it x
ReplyDeleteThe logistics of writing a joint blog are all that is delaying us now.....and of course, that life sometimes gets in the way, as we all know.
DeleteThat was certainly a whistle stop tour....but it looks as if you enjoyed every moment of it.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the resulting blog posts.
It was too short....but excellent. We will post accounts of our adventures soon.
DeleteWhat a lovely, happy photo!
ReplyDeleteMore please!
More is on the way.....logistically complicated though !
DeleteWell, I own a cherished pink Sadler teapot, so I can't wait for all the news! You both look like you are enjoying a wonderful day in Spain! xx
ReplyDeletePink sounds good, I have a gold and white one, and a brown one... Annie's is turquoise and gold....and makes excellent tea. x
DeleteReally looking forward to hearing all about your adventures! You both look wonderful and obviously no bad weather was going to dampen your spirits!
ReplyDeleteWe did have some sunny warm weather, but there was no way the odd cloud was going to affect us ! x
DeleteThe two of you look great, Janice, and I'm anxious to hear more about your adventures together.
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to see Annie, and the visit was over so quickly. We do have some good memories though and lots of photos !
DeleteI'm so late getting to this, Janice, but I love your big smiles on this lovely photo and can't wait to read more.
